Leather Saddles
Ride in the tradition of master craftsmen. Elatheria's handcrafted leather saddles — from hand-tooled Western to precision dressage — are built from premium full-grain leather and engineered for performance, comfort, and heirloom longevity.
Why Choose an Elatheria Saddle
A saddle is the most important piece of tack you own. It carries your weight, shapes your position and sits on your horse's back for hours at a time. That is why every Elatheria saddle is handmade to order rather than pulled from a warehouse shelf. Our Western saddles are cut from thick, vegetable-tanned leather with a deep, hand-rubbed finish, and our dressage saddle uses hand-selected full-grain leather chosen for grip, suppleness and durability. Reinforced stitching, solid hardware and a carefully balanced tree mean each saddle is built to be ridden hard, season after season, and to develop a richer patina with every mile.
Our Saddle Collection
The Maverick is our flagship Western saddle, hand-tooled with high-definition basketweave and sweeping floral scrollwork. Hand-engraved silver conchos, heavy-duty stainless steel rigging and a deep, hand-burnished seat make it equally at home on a working ranch or in the show ring.
The Mustang brings hand-carved floral and scroll tooling to a rich mahogany finish. A suede-padded seat gives grip and comfort for long days on the trail, while a thick fleece underside, solid brass conchos and leather-wrapped stirrups complete a saddle that is as tough as it is beautiful.
The Grand Prix is a close-contact dressage saddle for competitive arenas and daily schooling. Its deep, anatomically shaped seat, contoured flaps and knee blocks support a long, correct leg, and softly padded panels spread pressure evenly across the horse's back.
Western or English: Which Saddle Is Right for You?
Western saddles, like The Maverick and The Mustang, have a horn, a deeper seat and broad skirts that spread the rider's weight over a larger area. That makes them the natural choice for ranch work, trail riding and long hours in the saddle. English saddles, like The Grand Prix, are lighter and closer to the horse, which lets the rider give subtle leg and seat aids, so they're preferred for dressage, schooling and competition. Whatever you choose, fit matters as much as style. We recommend having any new saddle checked on your horse by a qualified saddle fitter, and our team is happy to answer questions about sizing before you order.
Personalisation and Custom Orders
Make your saddle unmistakably yours. We can emboss or engrave your name, initials, ranch brand or logo. If you need a particular colour, size or detail, add it to the instructions box at checkout or get in touch before ordering to discuss a bespoke commission. Every saddle is made to order in 12–15 days and delivered in 10–12 days.
Caring for Your Leather Saddle
Good care keeps leather supple and safe. After each ride, wipe away dust and sweat with a damp cloth and let the saddle dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sunlight. Every few months, or whenever the leather starts to feel dry, clean it with a saddle soap and follow with a quality leather conditioner, working it in with a soft cloth. Store your saddle on a proper rack in a cool, dry, well-ventilated room, ideally under a breathable cover, and check the stitching and rigging regularly.
