We check every engraving request before it goes to the craftsman. If we spot an obvious error we will email you to confirm. Once approved and engraved, personalised pieces cannot be amended, so please double-check your spelling, punctuation and capitalisation before placing your order.
Completely normal, and actually a good sign. Full-grain and vegetable-tanned leathers carry a rich natural scent from the tanning process — synthetic or low-grade leathers are odourless. The smell mellows within a few days of use. If it bothers you initially, leave the piece open in a well-ventilated room overnight.
International orders are shipped via tracked courier and typically arrive within 10–12 days of dispatch, depending on your location. Every order receives a tracking number by email as soon as it dispatches. Customs delays (rare but possible) are outside our control; we always ship with full declared value to assist swift clearance.
We photograph every piece in natural light to show true colour, but screen calibration varies. Full-grain leather also has natural variation — no two hides are identical — so you may see subtle tonal differences to the image. If colour accuracy is critical (e.g. matching an existing set), email us before ordering and we will send a swatch photograph.
Full-grain leather is the most durable leather available, but it will develop surface marks over time — that is part of its character, not a defect. Light scratches can be buffed out with a soft dry cloth or a tiny amount of conditioner. Deeper marks gradually blend into the patina and become part of the piece's unique history. If you need a truly scratch-proof surface, leather is not the right material — but if you want something that looks better with every year of use, full-grain leather is unrivalled.
