The Hearthside 1.0 has enclosed sides that keep bark and dust inside the carrier, with solid brass hardware, and it comes in several colours. The Hearthside 2.0 takes a tote-style approach with classic brass hardware, easy to fill and easy to carry.

The Hearthstone is made from pebbled full-grain leather with a suede-lined interior that protects the leather from rough bark. It measures 18.5 x 12 x 10.5 inches and holds 6 to 8 standard fireplace logs. An exterior pocket takes kindling, matches or fireplace gloves, and its reinforcements are hidden inside, so no exposed metal can scratch a stone hearth.

A log carrier sits in plain view for half the year, so it should suit the room. Rich leather tones work with stone and brick fireplaces, wooden beams and wool throws, and the leather gains character as it is used. Care and Delivery

Shake out bark and dust after use and wipe the leather with a soft, dry cloth. Treat it with a leather conditioner from time to time, especially at the start of the season, and keep it a sensible distance from open flame and direct heat so the leather doesn't dry out.
