Why Leather Instead of Nylon or Plastic?

Most guitar cases are built to be replaced. Nylon gig bags fray and lose their shape, and moulded plastic cases scuff and fade without ever gaining character. A leather case works the other way round: it gets better with use, softening and darkening into a patina that records every rehearsal, gig and journey. Every Elatheria case is handmade to order, so it is built for the player who will carry it.

Gig Bags and Hard Cases

For everyday carry, our gig bags keep the weight down without cutting corners on padding. The Session has a plush velvet lining and two storage pockets, while The Aviator and The Maestro padded gig bag carry on padded backpack straps for players who walk or take public transport to the venue. Electric players should look at The Stagehand, with foam padding shaped for single-cutaway guitars.

The Troubadour family covers three looks: chestnut pull-up leather with twin front pouches, mosaic patchwork leather, and weather-resistant waxed canvas with leather trim for festivals and outdoor gigs.

When an instrument needs rigid protection, choose a hard case. The Outlaw wraps a wood-core shell in individually hand-tooled Western leather, so no two are alike. The Maestro hard case pairs an arched wood core with alligator-embossed leather and a crushed-velvet interior for vintage and collector guitars.

Made to Fit, Made Personal

Most of our gig bags are sized for dreadnought, concert and most grand auditorium acoustics, and The Stagehand fits single-cutaway and most T-style electrics. If your guitar is a different size or shape, let us know. We specialise in customisations and can tailor a case to fit. Most cases can also be personalised with a name, initials or logo, pressed permanently into the leather.
